2026 WBYS Host Guide

Welcome to the Wicked Big Yard Sale.

This is our 4th one, and each year hosts not only clear out their homes, but many walk away with more cash than they expected.

This guide will walk you through what to do so you’re prepared, visible, and ready for the day.

What We Handle

We take care of the heavy lifting so you can focus on your sale.

  • Marketing the event across the area

  • Driving traffic to participating homes

  • Handling your yard sale permit using the information you submitted

  • Coordinating the overall event

Getting the right people in front of the right opportunity is something we do all the time.

What You Should Do

Focus on getting ready early.

  • Start gathering your items now

  • Price everything ahead of time

  • Plan your setup so people can move through easily

The more prepared you are before the weekend, the easier the day will be.

How to Get More Traffic

We’ll drive traffic to the event.

The hosts who see the most activity are the ones who also make themselves visible.

  • Tell your neighbors and friends you’re participating

  • Share it in local Facebook groups if you’re comfortable

  • Put up clear signs 1–2 days before the event

The more stops there are, the more people are out that day.

Day of the Sale

A few things that make a big difference:

  • Set up early

  • Be fully ready by 8:00 AM

  • Make your space easy to browse

  • Have change ready

  • Keep things simple and organized

Most of the traffic comes early, so being ready at the start matters.

Final Note

We’ve done this multiple times, and the hosts who do best keep it simple, stay organized, and are ready early.

If you do that, you’ll be in a strong position.
